Can you help?

Because this is a 24/7 service, we would like more volunteers to spread the load (not that this will be a busy gig - we expect an 'occasional callout only' experience).The requirements:

• Being on on-island and available when rostered.
• Having a vehicle (or using the Coochie bus during the day).
• Completing a short video orientation to the role (in essence - the RFDS clinician makes the decisions and takes the responsibility)
• What you DON'T need is a first aid certificate! 

The role itself:

• Answer calls, take down details of person, place, prescriptions
• Confirm details by calling RFDS number
• Drive to the Medical Chest, collect prescriptions, and deliver them to the patient.
• Document everything (it's easy, training provided).
• Hand the 'grab bag' of phone, charger instructions etc to the next person on roster at the end of your shift.
